This is an excerpt from the 1962 film "The Accused of Love" which starred Giorgos Gavriilidis.
Either the notes (in Greek) under the video are a bit convoluted or my friend Google Translate is recovering from a hangover, but I had a difficult time with the translation. The first song, "What Good Are You to Me"* seems like pure Rebetica, the last song "My Beloved Angel"* seems a little more upbeat and 1960's ish.
Here's a helpful hint for musicians of all genres -- always keep an upbeat tune (like "My Beloved Angel") in your pocket in case a fight breaks out at your gig -- Here in the Pacific Northwest of the U.S., my friend Ian's band used to make sure that the Chicken Reel was handy when things got heated, but if I ever join a Greek band, I know what song to play...
* Given the translation that poor little Google struggled to produce, these titles could be completely wrong...
